Summer is an exciting time filled with vacations, warm weather, and also many great movie releases. A favorite pastime is going to the theatre to cool off from the heat or a great activity to do when it is raining out and you can’t be outside. There are some highly anticipated summer 2017 movies coming out that you will not want to miss.

Bay Watch

A remake of the classic show, bay watch looks like a great comedy to go see and the setting is at the beach. Starring The Rock and Zac Efron they work as lifeguards and also help to stop crime while getting into some pretty sticky situations themselves. It is definitely a movie that I will be checking out myself and looks like a great laugh.

Annabelle: The Creation

For scary movie lovers, look no further than Annabelle: The Creation, hitting theatres on August 11th. This horror movie is a prequel to the original Annabelle and will be sure to ensue some screams and nightmares from the audience. Make sure to bring a sweatshirt to hide behind, because just like the original it is just as scary if not more.

Everything, Everything

Everything, Everything follows the love story of two teens, however the girl is unable to leave her house because of an illness. She begins to communicate with the boy next door and feels empowered to leave the house to go adventure. It was adapted from a book and is sure to pull at your heartstrings.

The Emoji Movie

The emoji movie is a great movie for all ages. When your kids are cramped in the house and don’t have anything to do this movie is a great escape that can ensue some laughs and keep both you and the kids entertained. Hitting theatres July 28th, it brings the emojis you use on your smartphone everyday to life and has some pretty big stars voicing the emoticons.

There are many great movies coming out this summer and there’s something for everyone from horror to romance to comedy. Cool off on a hot summer’s day and hit the movie theatre for a couple of hours of entertainment to watch a few of these great films on your day off or over the weekend.
